Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team! The applicant will be responsible for managing commercial structural steel projects ranging from 250 tons to well over 5,000 tons. Please note this is for a permanent in-house position, not a remote position. We are accepting H1-B Visa applicants who meet all criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Assist detailing firms in the startup & completion of each project
- Review contract documents (Design drawings, specs, proposal…etc.)
- Review shop drawings and erection plans for conformance and accuracy
- Must be familiar with joist & deck, grating, elevator and aluminum structure drawings
- Participate in conference calls and/or attend jobsite meetings
- Create schedules and phasing plans to meet the customers’ needs
- Ensure submittal and target delivery deadlines are met
- Maintain required project documentation (RFI logs, CO logs, Drawing logs…etc)
- Assess, address and execute any problems/issues related to the project
Qualifications:
- Previous experience (1-5 years) in structural steel detailing and project management
- Good understanding of connection calculations
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong leadership qualities
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Team player
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects at different stages
- Strong background with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, ACAD and 3D Modeling software
- Experience with SDS or Tekla
